Terms of use
The rules for using ExpenseLense, including automated results and paid plans.
Last updated: August 3, 2026
Agreement and eligibility
These terms are an agreement between you and ExpenseLense for ExpenseLense. You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. By creating an account or using the service, you accept these terms and the Privacy notice.
Your account
Keep your sign-in details secure and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under your account and should contact support promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.
Your content
You keep ownership of files, emails, notes, and records you add. You give ExpenseLense and its service providers the limited permission needed to host, process, organize, export, and return that content to you. Only add content you have the right to use.
Automated results
Receipt extraction, category suggestions, duplicate checks, recurring-charge detection, and Insight may be incomplete or wrong. Review important details before reimbursement, tax, accounting, payment, or business decisions. ExpenseLense is not a bank, accountant, tax adviser, or financial adviser.
Plans and scan capacity
Plan limits are shown on Pricing and at checkout. Typed records do not use scans. A statement PDF uses one scan for each group of up to 10 pages. A completed processing attempt can use scan capacity even when no record is produced. Capacity resets at the start of each UTC calendar month and does not roll over.
Ownership and processing boundary
Viewing and downloading original files and viewing, editing, exporting, and deleting saved records do not require a paid plan. Limits apply only to new automated processing and reprocessing.
Billing, renewal, and cancellation
Paid plans are charged in USD in advance and renew automatically for the selected monthly or annual term until canceled. Stripe shows the final price and any applicable tax before purchase. Cancel in Billing before the next renewal to stop future charges; paid access continues through the current term. You may delete ExpenseLense product data at any time. Deleting data does not change billing status or cancel any subscription.
Refunds and mandatory rights
Payments are generally non-refundable and we do not provide prorated refunds for unused time, except where required by law or expressly stated at purchase. Any mandatory consumer cancellation, withdrawal, refund, or warranty rights that apply to you remain unaffected.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service, probe or bypass its security or limits, interfere with other users, upload unlawful or harmful content, automate abusive traffic, or use ExpenseLense to violate another person's rights. Do not add passwords, full card numbers, or banking credentials.
Service and ownership
ExpenseLense and its software, design, and brand remain ours or our licensors'. We may change, suspend, or discontinue features and may restrict an account when reasonably needed for security, law, nonpayment, abuse, or service integrity.
Disclaimers and liability
To the extent permitted by law, ExpenseLense is provided as available without promises that it will be uninterrupted or error-free. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss caused by use of the service. These limits do not exclude liability or consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the product or law changes and will revise the date above. Material changes apply prospectively. Email aiacobe@icloud.com with questions about terms, billing, or account access.
